Copperas Cove is one of the greatest places to live in Texas. It's located in the central part of the state, near the Fort Hood area. The crime rate in Copperas Cove is low, and there are many military families that live in surrounding areas. The housing market is also booming in those areas, making places like Copperas Cove one of the top places in the US to relocate too during the current economic crisis.



There is plenty to do in Copperas Cove. Within just fifteen miles, there are around three movie theaters, 323 restaurants, 26 bars, many golf courses, libraries, museums, and more. There are also ski resorts within 100 miles. Central Texas is filled with plenty of entertainment and activities. Thanks to unique places in Copperas Cove, Fort Hood, and Killeen-there is always excitement to be found in central Texas.



The neighborhoods in Copperas Cove are rather charming and rural, making it a great place to raise a family. The economy is healthy, the schools are great, and there is a variety of cultural activities.



There are many new houses being built in the new development area called Ogletree Gap. It's west of the Cove and the houses are being built along the ridge line. Lovely hills and woods surround this area, and wildlife is abundant.



As for school, there are elementary schools, intermediate schools, junior highs, and a high school all conveniently located throughout the area. Families have plenty of choices when it comes to their children's educational needs. Many wonderful teaches live in that area and teach at the schools, so that the children can receive a great education.
